NW

The wool is sheared
and tossed about
the robin’s egg expanse,
Northwest across
the twiggy hay,
Northwest away Northwest.

The silver fleece
is lightly combed
for frosty pearls and jewels,
Northwest it hides
the milky sun,
Northwest away Northwest.
